Welcome to the Parish of St. John the Baptist, Cratloe.The parish of Cratloe is in the Diocese of Limerick, but is situated in the neighbouring county of Clare. Cratloe Hills divide the dioceses of Limerick and Killaloe. St. John's Church is the finest remaining example of a "Barn" Church and is a very popular Church for marriages, 145 being celebrated there each year. The other Church in the parish is The Little Church,Sixmilebridge.The late Bishop Newman described it as the "little gem" of Limerick Diocese,when he re-dedicated it in 1986. The population of the parish is 2,400.(approx.)and it contains 620 houses.
